Ayrstone AyrMesh equipment is manufactured to operate in the harshest environments. The units themselves are made from UltraViolet (UV) stabilized plastic and the tops are sealed to prevent any incursion from weather. Underneath each of the units, there is a hole for the Ethernet cable, and any moisture that might get into the unit (e.g. condensation) can easily get out through the hole.
The only requirement is that Ayrstone products must ALWAYS be mounted pointing STRAIGHT UP when used outdoors so any moisture can drain out through the bottom.
Ayrstone products are rated for -20 to 70 degrees Centigrade, or -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, but they have proven to work well in temperatures significantly colder than that.
The graphics below show the distribution of Ayrstone customers across the United States and Canada. As you can see, AyrMesh equipment is being successfully deployed in the coldest and warmest areas of North America.
