Description
The AyrMesh Bridge is a very simple wireless bridge. It works like a wireless Ethernet cable, up to 5 miles long – it can be used to connect any location to your network.
Each AyrMesh Bridge contains two (2) Bridge radios – one is connected to your network (may be your router, an AyrMesh Hub, or an AyrMesh Receiver) and the other is connected to whatever you want to add to your network (which may be an AyrMesh Hub or any other Ethernet device).
The two common uses for the AyrMesh Bridge are:
- Move a Gateway AyrMesh Hub to a better, higher, and/or remote location (e.g. if your Internet connection is at one edge of your property and you want to build your WiFi network from a grain leg or other tall structure near the center of your farm)
- “Jump” from one set of fields to another (connect the Bridge to the last Hub in the first group of fields and jump to a Hub in another field up to 5 miles away)
The AyrMesh Bridge can also be used to bring your network to a remote building without providing outdoor WiFi – to provide outdoor WiFi, use an AyrMesh Hub and Receiver – and an IndoorHub can then be used to create a WiFi signal in that building. The Switch can also be used to create additional Ethernet ports for additional devices.
